In Memoriam, by Tasmania By Claudia is a small collection of cremation jewellery that has been quietly and conscientiously created and nurtured over the last year. We have developed special relationships with our customers and over time have been asked to create pieces that commemorate love and loss.
Our commitment to crafting beautiful, timeless jewellery coupled with a deep desire to create a wearable memorial for our customers bloomed into the creation of our latest collection.
In Memoriam is a collection that stands as a poignant celebration of life, meticulously crafted with a delicate touch that embodies skill, love, and respect.
Each piece is lovingly created in our Hobart studio combining the pure elements of precious 9K or 18K gold, beautiful gemstones, and the sacred ashes of your departed loved one.
The jewellery is designed for you to have your loved one with you always - holding space for moments of reflection, fostering connections with cherished memories and providing a gentle space for mourning. In Memoriam jewellery symbolises a delicate intertwining of love and loss, offering solace, and paying respect to the everlasting bond between life and nature.
Tasmania by Claudia, In Memoriam, is more than jewellery; it is a manifestation of love that transcends time—a poetic expression of the enduring beauty found in the celebration of life.
We understand that each expression of grief, love and loss is unique. We want you to feel completely at ease with the process of crafting such an important piece of jewellery. Which is why we have created a step by step guide below.
THE JOURNEY BEGINS:
Head to our website and view the In Memoriam collection. After you have viewed the collection please express your interest by clicking the “Begin Journey” button on the product listing. You will then be prompted to fill out a form, once complete please click the submit button.
Once we have received your complete form we will begin the journey by preparing a personalised In Memoriam pack. Which will include a ring sizer and ring sizing guide, instructions on how to package your ashes (including packaging), and a postpaid return envelope to Tasmania by Claudia.
We ask that you include an image of your loved one in your postpaid return package or email an image to workshop@claudiajewellers.com
After we have received your In Memoriam pack we will contact you via your preferred method of communication (email, telephone call or text message) to let you know that your loved one has safely arrived and discuss the time required to complete your jewellery.
The process of crafting your piece will then begin.
Our In Memoriam collection is handcrafted in our Hobart workshop, where a quiet space of calm is created during the crafting your jewellery. This is an important practice that is unique to our workshop, paying respect to your loved one and holding space for grief and grace.
For those who would like a documentation of the process we are able to create a personalised video of the setting of the ashes.
Our master jeweller carefully and respectfully hand-pours the ashes which are then soldered closed using another layer of gold, ensuring that the ashes remain safe in a watertight and secure cradle. The gemstone is then set on top.
Upon completion of the jewellery we will send you the video of the creation process via email or text message.
Your piece will then be sent to you, including care instructions and returning the precious image of your loved one.
